Job description

The HEDIS Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring quality healthcare delivery within a primary care setting. This position involves meticulous data management, compliance monitoring, and reporting to support healthcare quality initiatives. Working within a large team, the coordinator partners with physicians, medical staff, billing departments, and insurance groups to ensure adherence to HEDIS measures, focusing on data accuracy and timely communication without direct patient contact.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze healthcare quality data from various sources
  • Monitor compliance with HEDIS measures and regulatory requirements
  • Audit patient charts to confirm accuracy and adherence to quality standards
  • Document and log chart audits for tracking and reporting purposes
  • Report patient information to appropriate health plans and insurance groups
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, medical staff, billing, and insurance representatives
  • Utilize tools such as Excel, EHR systems, Medisoft, eClinicalWorks, Salesforce, and Microsoft Outlook for data tracking and reporting
  • Maintain familiarity with Medicare Advantage Plans and HMOs

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare quality management

Preferred Qualifications

  • CMA or RMA Certification
  • Experience as a Medical Assistant, including phlebotomy and vital sign skills
