Job Summary:
Access Health Louisiana is seeking an Automation & Integration Engineer/Information Security Officer to support the development of intelligent automation and system integrations across the organization. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with foundational programming experience, especially in Python, and a strong interest in artificial intelligence and workflow automation.
Responsibilities:
• Support the development of intelligent automation and system integrations across the organization.
• Work closely with Informatics, IT, and operational teams to implement AI-powered tools.
• Automate routine processes and ensure seamless data exchange between systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree (or in progress) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
• 0-2 years of experience in software development, automation, or system integration (internships/projects acceptable)
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
• Basic knowledge of SQL or data querying
• Familiarity with healthcare systems or interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR)
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts or tools (e.g., prompt engineering, NLP basics, or model APIs)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI and emerging technologies
• Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in Python (scripting, automation, or small applications)
• Familiarity with APIs (REST), and data formats such as JSON, XML, and CSV
• Basic understanding of automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, UiPath, or similar)
• Exposure to version control (e.g., Git)
