Clinical Integration Systems Engineer Jobs (NOW HIRING)

The primary responsibility of a Senior Integration Support Engineer is to provide technical integration and support to our customer base, both directly and indirectly. In this role, you will install, configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and support Dicom Systems solutions across diverse customer environments. This is an infrastructure-first engineering role. You will work extensively with Linux systems, TCP/IP networks, enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, storage, databases, security controls, and automation. A strong foundation in Linux, systems administration, networking, or DevOps is required. You will perform configuration, support, administration, and technical training throughout the customer’s enterprise and integrate Dicom Systems solutions with other information systems across multiple facilities. Your duties will span secure on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments, including high-latency and low-bandwidth networks and complex priority-routing requirements. Experience with medical imaging, DICOM, HL7, FHIR, DICOMweb, IHE profiles, PACS, RIS, VNA, or other Healthcare IT integrations is highly desirable but not required. Candidates with a strong background in infrastructure and the ability to learn healthcare interoperability standards are encouraged to apply. The Integration Support Engineer provides direct and indirect support to Dicom Systems customers, including cloud storage configuration and management, as well as multi-vendor technical coordination. You will work with internal teams and Healthcare IT/informatics departments at medical facilities, large and small. All work is performed remotely. The successful candidate must possess superb organizational and practical time-management skills, be detail-oriented, maintain meticulous documentation, have a solid command of the English language, communicate effectively in writing and verbally, and manage multiple priorities.

• Develop proficiency in the company’s software solutions, solution methodologies, and core technologies.
• Install, configure, monitor, administer, and support Dicom Systems software in production Linux environments.
• Deploy and support enterprise software across physical, VMware, Hyper-V, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across operating systems, applications, databases, TCP/IP networks, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, SSL/TLS certificates, proxies, reverse proxies, NAT, storage, and virtualization.
• Write and maintain shell scripts (Bash preferred) and automate repetitive operational, deployment, monitoring, and support tasks.
• Implement proprietary software supporting enterprise integration, data exchange, and, where applicable, DICOM, HL7, FHIR, and medical image migration workflows.
• Validate software modifications, changes, and enhancements; document test results and provide clear implementation feedback to Software Development and QA.
• Maintain accurate, version-controlled implementation documentation, deployment procedures, configuration baselines, and change history using Git.
• Use Jira and SuiteCRM to manage work, document technical decisions, share knowledge, and maintain traceability throughout the project and support lifecycle.
• Use approved AI-assisted tools to accelerate troubleshooting, summarize technical findings, improve documentation and customer communication, and identify automation opportunities while protecting confidential and regulated information.
• Create process and automation improvements that enhance reliability, repeatability, service quality, and team productivity.
• Take ownership of assigned issues, apply analytical thinking, investigate root causes, communicate findings clearly, and drive work through resolution.
• Respond to customer inquiries quickly and maintain excellent customer service.
• Lead and participate in remote technical sessions, customer calls, knowledge transfer, and training.
• Monitor assigned implementations and support work, surface risks and blockers promptly, and ensure work progresses appropriately.
• Review and analyze software, hardware, network, security, storage, and capacity needs for upcoming projects.
• Maintain and continuously improve proactive monitoring, alerting, and operational health checks.
• Participate in customer support and escalation activities while maintaining high service quality.
• Create and implement plans for deploying new hardware and virtual machine systems, and work directly with Software Engineering to define and document repeatable application deployment processes.
• Meticulously uphold HIPAA privacy and security regulations and company security policies while performing duties.

• Practical knowledge of Linux system administration, including the command line, filesystems, permissions, processes, services, logs, packages, and basic system troubleshooting.
• Understanding of TCP/IP and networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, subnetting, routing, DNS, ports, firewalls, NAT, VPN concepts, TLS, latency, bandwidth, and common network diagnostic tools.
• Fundamental IT infrastructure knowledge, including server hardware, CPU, memory, storage, filesystems, RAID/NAS concepts, and virtualization basics.
• Ability to read, write, and maintain basic shell scripts (Bash preferred) and automate routine operational tasks.
• A structured troubleshooting approach and the ability to isolate problems across operating systems, applications, networks, and storage.

• Experience supporting Linux/UNIX systems or web-based applications in production or other mission-critical environments is preferred; demonstrated hands-on ability is more important than a fixed number of years.
• Experience deploying and supporting enterprise software across physical, VMware, Hyper-V, cloud, or hybrid environments is helpful.
• Experience with databases, centralized logging, monitoring, alerting, storage systems, security controls, certificates, or performance analysis is a plus.
• Experience with DICOM, HL7, FHIR, DICOMweb, IHE profiles, PACS, RIS, VNA, EHR/EMR integrations, or enterprise imaging is highly desirable but not required.
• Experience supporting Healthcare IT or medical imaging environments, along with an understanding of clinical imaging workflows, is a strong advantage.
• Experience implementing, administering, or supporting multi-vendor imaging systems, modalities, image migrations, or healthcare interoperability workflows is a plus.

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience, is required.
• A+, Network+, Linux, cloud, security, virtualization, storage, or Microsoft Certificate Services credentials are a plus, but are not required.
