Job description

Healthcare Front Desk Administrator

Location: Lakewood, CO

Schedule: Full-time | 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM (must be flexible to work any shift within these hours)

Are you passionate about helping patients and creating a welcoming experience? We are seeking a Healthcare Front Desk Administrator to serve as the first point of contact for patients in a fast-paced medical clinic environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys multitasking, problem-solving, and providing exceptional customer service while supporting physicians and clinical staff.

What You'll Do
  • Greet patients, visitors, and providers with professionalism and warmth
  • Register patients and ensure demographic and insurance information is accurate and complete
  • Verify insurance coverage, referrals, and eligibility prior to appointments
  • Manage physician schedules and coordinate patient appointments
  • Answer and triage high-volume inbound calls using a multi-line phone system
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments for multiple providers
  • Relay messages to physicians and clinical staff as needed
  • Assist with urgent medication refill requests and medical records requests
  • Process patient payments and co-pays accurately
  • Reconcile daily balances and maintain a balanced batch
  • Support scheduling for approximately 15 physicians and 7 advanced practice providers
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of healthcare front desk, medical receptionist, healthcare administrative, or dental office experience
  • At least 1 year of EMR experience
  • Experience working with a multi-line telephone system
  • Strong customer service and administrative support skills
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to navigate scheduling complexities, insurance issues, and patient inquiries

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakewood, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
