Job description

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are looking for Game Entertainment Interns for the 2026-27 season. Interns will have the opportunity to learn how live sporting events are planned and executed from start to finish. This internship will provide training in skills such as Adobe Creative Cloud, partnership activation, and event planning.
Responsibilities

  • Execute all Penguins game entertainment elements, including but not limited to finding contestants, executing promotions, distributing giveaways, arena setup, and tear down
  • Communicate and coordinate with fans, players, and internal staff
  • Clip and edit game footage for archival purposes
  • Create/edit gameday graphics
  • Assist in the creation of gameday scripts
  • Participate in the Penguins Waddle Crew with high energy and enthusiasm.
  • Represent the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins brand
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Local applicants preferred.
  • Applicants should be creative and have high energy
  • Junior or senior in college, pursuing a degree in Marketing, PR, Communications, or related fields. Candidates must earn college credit for the internship
  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, basics of Adobe Creative Cloud software including Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Position requires flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and some late nights as dictated by the home game schedule and event nights
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment as part of a team
