Job description

Reporting to the Director of Creative Services, this position will assist the creative services department to develop and maintain content to help promote all 18 Division I sports supported at the university. Responsible for assisting with all digital marketing, social media, graphic design and photography efforts for the department. As a primary graphic designer, this position is responsible for creating compelling visual content, while also providing essential support in managing the departments social media presence and game day operations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting in the management of team social media accounts, providing graphic design for all 15 of the social media accounts on each platform and for the department to use in ways outside of social media, assisting in photographic and video efforts including the shooting, organizing, editing, and uploading of games, events and practices.
Additional responsibilities include assisting in the management of intern and graduate assistants, this includes managing work schedules, sign-ups, and game, practice, and project assignments.

Must establish and maintain a base for communicating with coaching staff of all programs on the efforts put into their respective social media accounts, which includes communication to the public fan-bases, university community and student- athletes, promotional projects, scheduling changes and building desire to attend and support. This requires strong communication and presentation of brand to those potentially first being introduced to Creighton Athletics. Strong graphic design, video editing and social media analytics skills are required. Complies with all applicable National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and BIG EAST Conference regulations in the performance of job duties.

  • Organize and manage interns, Graduate Assistant and full-time coworkers' schedules of game and event coverage

Required Education or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required in Public Relations, Communication, Marketing, Journalism, Sports Management, or a related field
  • Candidates should possess 1-3 years of experience in creative services or athletics
