Job Summary:
At LG Energy Solution Arizona, Inc., the Specialist I, Customs Compliance supports U.S. import customs and Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations to help ensure regulatory compliance and efficient material flow. This entry-level role assists with daily import activities, coordination with customs brokers and freight forwarders, and maintenance of import documentation and data in accordance with U.S. trade regulations. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, the Specialist I supports customs compliance processes and timely movement of materials across the supply chain.
Responsibilities:
  • Support daily U.S. import customs clearance activities in compliance with CBP regulations and company trade compliance policies.
  • Review shipping documentation and entry data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers and freight forwarders regarding shipment documentation and customs clearance status.
  • Monitor import shipments and assist in resolving routine customs or logistics issues.
  • Support maintenance of Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) inventory records and compliance documentation.
  • Perform ERP and FTZ system data entry and verification to support accurate material tracking and reporting.
  • Maintain import compliance records, including HTS classification, country of origin, valuation data, and entry documentation.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and production teams to support efficient material flow and customs compliance.

Qualifications:
  • 0+ years of experience in customs compliance, logistics, supply chain, or a related field (internship or co-op experience preferred).
  • Basic understanding of international shipping, import documentation, or trade compliance processes preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or logistics systems preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to resolve abnormalities in import operations and coordinate with global partners and logistics providers.

Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Logistics, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Basic understanding of U.S. Customs regulations and import documentation requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and data entry.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
