Tech 1, Mechanical Engineering | Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, United States Tech 1, Mechanical Engineering - Second Shift (2:00PM - 10:30PM) Location: Franklin Lakes, NJ, 07417 | Contractor | $43.54/hr About the Role Join a leading-edge engineering team as a Tech 1, Mechanical Engineering Lab Technician. In this on-site, second-shift role, you'll play a vital part in supporting daily laboratory activities and equipment qualification for a regulated industry. This position offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology, direct mentorship from seasoned professionals, and the opportunity to grow your technical skills in a collaborative lab environment. Responsibilities - Execute daily engineering tests for design verification, stability, and feasibility to support product development - Perform equipment qualification (IQ, OQ) and support test method validation (TMV) development - Assist with troubleshooting and resolve inconsistencies in test needs or requests - Maintain precise documentation and comply with Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) - Support tool creation to simplify and enhance lab operations - Collaborate with Verification/Validation (Ver/Val) and Test Method Development (TMD) teams - Review and support test requests to ensure accurate and thorough completion Required Skills and Experience - Bachelor's degree in Science or Associate in Applied Science; high school diploma with 4+ years of regulated industry/lab experience - 5 years of experience in technical or laboratory settings (regulated industry preferred) - Skilled in written and verbal communication - Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs - Experience working in a laboratory environment with PPE and handling chemicals or biological fluids Preferred Skills - Previous experience in a regulated industry laboratory - Familiarity with test method validation (TMV) and equipment qualification processes - Strong troubleshooting and process improvement abilities Benefits - Competitive hourly pay - Exposure to advanced mechanical engineering projects - Opportunities for skill development and career advancement - Supportive team environment with direct mentorship - Hands-on experience with state-of-the-art lab equipment How to Apply Ready to launch your career in a dynamic lab environment?
