| Aspect | Internship Flir | Field Technician |
|---|---|---|
| Required Credentials | High school diploma or equivalent; some technical knowledge | High school diploma; technical certifications often preferred |
| Work Environment | Training setting, office, or lab | On-site, customer locations, or industrial sites |
| Industry Usage | Internship programs in electronics, security, or thermal imaging | Installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment in similar industries |
The Internship Flir typically serves as a training position for students or entry-level individuals interested in thermal imaging and electronics, often in a controlled environment. In contrast, a Field Technician is a more hands-on role involving on-site work, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance. While both roles may require technical knowledge, the internship is more educational, whereas the technician role is operational and service-oriented.
