We are seeking a strong Software Engineer to support a high-priority Space Data Modernization initiative for the United States Space Force. This program is focused on architecting a next-generation intelligence enterprise, mirroring Silicon Valley processes to rapidly close capability gaps in data integration, automation, and operational visualization. You will work in a modern, agile environment to design and deploy cloud-native solutions that directly empower space operators to make data-driven decisions at mission speed. * People over process Position Description (what you will do) * Feature Development: Develop full-stack applications for new Space Intelligence tools, translating user stories into functional, mission-aligned software capabilities.
* Workflow Automation: Write code to modernize legacy intelligence workflows, automating the ingestion and processing of MASINT and GEOINT data streams.
* Data Integration: Implement GEOINT and MASINT indexing, access and streaming services connecting disparate systems, ensuring analysts have timely access to cross-domain intelligence.
* DevSecOps Participation: Operate within a mature CI/CD environment, write unit tests and utilizing automated build pipelines to deliver rapid iterations to the warfighter.
* Prototyping: Assist in the rapid prototyping of data fusion solutions, helping to validate requirements through working code. Requirements : * 3-5 years of software engineering experience.
* Proficiency in modern languages (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java or Go) and web frameworks (React, Spring Boot).
* Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams with two-week sprints.
