Job Summary:

The Web Developer Intern is responsible for developing and maintaining websites that meet specific business process requirements by performing the following duties, subject to the direction of the Web Administrator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports the creation of Web Applications in the .NET platform.
  • Learns how to configure laptops for users, ensuring that all necessary software and applications are installed and functional.
  • Collaborates with staff across multiple areas to gather accurate requirements.
  • Gains knowledge of the structures for the systems our team is responsible for.
  • Learns skills related to assigned projects to develop personal and team capability.
  • Acquires skills in bug testing and resolution to resolve tickets.
  • Learns to navigate the ticketing system and correctly assign and close out tickets as required.
  • Understands how to work on a PC and keep it up to date to stay ready for requests.
  • Communicates through Microsoft Teams and other company platforms.
  • Attends meetings to discuss current projects and issues and contribute suggestions and recommendations.
  • Learns to manage and navigate Microsoft Azure.
  • Cross-collaborates with various IT partners to gain exposure to different facets of IT.

Required Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Enrolled in an associate, bachelor's, or master's degree program, ideally in a field related to the internship
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work with a team or on your own initiative
  • Willingness to learn

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Familiarity with industry-leading procedures for installing, configuring, upgrading, troubleshooting and repairing applicable software, hardware, and peripherals
  • ASP.NET, C#
  • JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, XML/XSL, CSS
  • Experience with both Windows-based and Apache Web Servers
