Organizational Overview

KIPP North Carolina (KIPP NC) is a network of seven high-performing, college-preparatory public charter schools serving over 3,000 students in grades K–12 across Charlotte, Durham, Gaston, and Halifax. In addition, KIPP NC supports more than 7,000 alumni on their journey through high school, college, and career.

Position Overview

The Student Enrollment Intern will support enrollment, scheduling, and staff data management in Infinite Campus across seven K–12 schools. This 10-week remote internship offers hands-on experience in educational data operations and systems management. You will help enroll over 800 new students by verifying key information—gaining practical skills in data accuracy, compliance, and school operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process and update student enrollment records in Infinite Campus
  • Support K–8 student scheduling tasks
  • Assist with staff data updates and employment record verification
  • Perform data audits and help resolve discrepancies to maintain system integrity
  • Generate reports related to enrollment and staffing as needed
  • Collaborate with the data team to enhance workflows and ensure accuracy
  • Provide administrative support for data-related requests
  • Adhere to FERPA guidelines to ensure data confidentiality
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • PowerSchool Certification or InfiniteCampus Administrator
  • Knowledge of NCDPI student accounting practices and regulations
  • 1–3 years of experience in data management, including data entry, organization, and validation
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Willingness to learn new software systems (training provided)
  • Access to a stable remote work environment, including reliable internet

Time Commitment & Compensation

This internship requires a commitment of approximately 20 hours per week. Compensation ranges from $15 to $25 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
