As a Farm Credit of Central Florida intern, you will be a part of a cooperative that helps Florida farmers and ranchers with the necessary funding to provide the world with a stable, healthy, and sustainable food supply. We recognize the vitality of Florida agriculture and take pride in serving as a resource to rural America. 

Farm Credit of Central Florida supports rural communities and agriculture in thirteen central Florida counties including, Polk, Citrus, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Hillsborough, Lake, Sumter, Osceola, Orange, Seminole, Volusia, and Brevard. Part of the nationwide Farm Credit System, the association loans funds for agricultural purposes, makes residential loans, originates leases, and sells crop insurance. Over 1,200 borrowers have chosen Farm Credit of Central Florida as their lender of choice. Farm Credit of Central Florida provides over $1 billion in originated loans and other financial services to its member-borrowers.

Farm Credit of Central Florida has an exciting summer internship opportunity that will introduce participants to different facets of our Association. The internship experience will provide a broad experience within the different agricultural lending functions of credit, accounting, marketing, and more!

Responsibilities include:

  • Represent the Association in a professional and enthusiastic manner by providing an exceptional level of customer service with internal and external customers.
  • Participate in opportunities to acquire knowledge of the methods, procedures, and standards required for successful performance with the Association.
  • Assist with gathering and organizing data to provide information for departmental special projects or reports.
  • Other opportunities as they become available.

Required Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of various segments of the agriculture industry
  • Experience working with financial statements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in a college degree program related to the position or have recently graduated within the past quarter/semester
  • Junior or Senior level College Students preferred
