Crop Insurance Internship - East Lansing, MI 

This is a paid Internship with an hourly rate of $20/hr 

Duration: May 2027 - August 2027 
Location: Based in our East Lansing, MI office, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the local community while being an integral part of our organization.

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to embark on a rewarding internship as a Crop Insurance Intern. 

At GreenStone Farm Credit Services, we understand the vital role of crop insurance in safeguarding the livelihoods of farmers. We're looking for a dedicated intern to join our team and assist in the efficient management of crop insurance-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities of a Crop Insurance Intern:  

  • Acreage Report Review & Mapping: Accurately input field boundary and planting information into approved insurance providers mapping systems.  

  • Data Processing: Review and process multi-peril crop insurance acreage reports and production history in approved insurance providers processing systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness. 

  • Document Management: Manage internal document storage and recordkeeping using tools such as Journey+ and OnBase, maintaining organized and easily accessible records. 

  • Crop Insurance Reports: Create reports to reconcile with internal databases.  

Requirements: 

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in agriculture, agribusiness, or business.  

  • Sophomore status or above in your academic program. 

  • A minimum GPA of 3.00 is required. 

  • Strong interest in or prior experience working in the agricultural sector. 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. 

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills. 

  • Strong attention to detail, self-motivated and eager to learn.
