About The Moran Group
The Moran Group is a full-service advertising agency specializing in strategic marketing solutions across digital, traditional, and emerging media channels. We work with clients across multiple industries, including automotive, healthcare, and retail, helping brands grow through innovative and data-driven marketing strategies.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented SEO & Digital Content Intern to join our Digital Content team in our Baton Rouge office. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in digital marketing, content strategy, SEO, analytics, and advertising agency operations.
Position Overview
The SEO & Digital Content Intern will support the Digital Content team with search engine optimization (SEO), content development, research, analytics, and digital marketing initiatives across a variety of agency clients.
This role will primarily focus on SEO-related responsibilities; however, depending on weekly availability and workload, the position may expand to include additional digital marketing and digital content support. For interns available 20+ hours per week, responsibilities may evolve into approximately 75% SEO and 25% broader Digital Content support.

At The Moran Group, we are actively adapting alongside these industry changes, exploring new strategies, tools, and approaches to help our clients remain visible and competitive in an AI-driven search environment. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-changing industry while learning from a collaborative team of digital marketing professionals.
This is a collaborative, hands-on role that offers exposure to real-world agency operations, client strategy, and digital marketing platforms. The selected candidate will receive training and mentorship from experienced SEO and Digital Marketing professionals.
Main Responsibilities
  • Assist with task and project management across a variety of agency clients
  • Support SEO initiatives including keyword research, content optimization, and SEO audits
  • Help create and organize digital content including website pages, blog posts, and other SEO-focused content
  • Track and compile branded search and website performance trends
  • Assist with managing off-site optimizations including Google Business Profiles, YouTube channels, and directory listings
  • Conduct competitor and industry research
  • Support content integrity and organization across digital platforms
  • Collaborate with the SEO and Digital Content teams to help execute client strategies
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and collaborative planning discussions
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and research skills
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Interest in digital marketing, SEO, advertising, analytics, or content strategy
  • Marketing, English, Communications, Business, or related coursework preferred
  • Previous SEO, website, analytics, or content creation experience is a plus, but not required
  • Familiarity with Google products, social media platforms, or digital marketing tools is a plus
What You'll Gain
  • Hands-on experience within a full-service advertising agency
  • Exposure to SEO strategy, content marketing, analytics, and digital media operations
  • Training on industry platforms, tools, and workflows
  • Opportunity to work alongside experienced digital marketing professionals
  • Experience supporting real client campaigns and initiatives
  • Potential opportunity for expanded responsibilities based on performance and availability
Schedule
