Job description

Embrace the Lab's Secrets: Be Part of a Thriving Diagnostic Team in Scenic Mountain Surroundings
Overview
We are on the lookout for a Clinical Laboratory Technician who merges inquisitiveness with accuracy-someone committed to enhancing patient well-being one sample at a time. In this full-time, first-shift role at a dynamic community hospital nestled in the picturesque surroundings of the Rocky Mountains, you will play a critical role in providing essential diagnostic results that change lives. You'll collaborate with like-minded professionals, all supported by a holistic rewards package designed to nurture both your career and your overall health.
Description - What You Will Be Doing
  • Carry out both routine and specialized laboratory testing-ranging from chemistry and hematology to immunology-following established guidelines.
  • Evaluate results for reliability, manage troubleshooting of anomalies, and ensure lab instruments are well-maintained and calibrated.
  • Assist with sample collection and preparation as required.
  • Carefully document all protocols, educate new employees or interns, and help maintain stringent quality standards in the lab.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment, abiding by regulatory and accreditation protocols.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a corresponding allied health degree plus completion of ASCP/AMT certification preparation.
Certifications
  • ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within one year from the date of hire.
  • Maintain up-to-date certification while employed.
Skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork within healthcare settings.
  • Ability to employ independent judgment and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Remarkable organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, particularly in quality assurance and record-keeping.
Benefits
  • Attractive salary based on your experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive group benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Generous vacation and holiday leave commencing on day one, with progressive time-off according to tenure.
  • Opportunities for ongoing education and professional advancement.
  • A thorough rewards package that promotes your holistic wellness.

Precision with Purpose
Your role here transforms mere data into crucial evidence that informs physicians and ultimately affects patient health. A single slide might confirm an infection while another test could reveal metabolic issues before they become symptomatic. Your attention to detail ensures the healthcare team has confidence in every decision based on your results.
Commitment to Collective Success
This position offers more than just a job; it invites you to become part of a community dedicated to mutual growth. Collaborative in-lab meetings, skill enhancement workshops, and quality improvement projects provide an environment where your ideas are not just welcomed-they are essential. You will have opportunities to sit on committees, push for process improvements, and even guide new team members.
Life in the Rockies: A Community to Call Home
Visualize yourself in a breathtaking mountainous area, where the air is crisp and fresh with breathtaking landscapes. Farmers markets are filled with organic produce, local breweries rejoice in craft flavors, and the spirit of arts events fills the community throughout the year. Neighborhood coffee shops serve as gathering places for shared laughter and varied conversations. Your leisure time may find you hiking scenic trails at dawn or enjoying vibrant concerts against a backdrop of majestic mountains. The friendly local community promotes connections and support-characteristics that resonate deeply within the healthcare sector as well.
Nearby lie quaint boutiques, serene nature paths, a vibrant arts scene, and activities to ignite every passion-from hiking to wine tasting. Commutes are effortless with quick access to public transit, providing a balanced lifestyle unlike the hustle of larger cities. Housing remains affordable, allowing you to savor experiences-be it rooftop gatherings, spontaneous road trips, or weekend family outings.
Building a Legacy Together
In this charming enclave, every lab technician plays a vital role-a linchpin in community health. You will witness how your contributions lead to quicker diagnostics, safer patient care, more satisfied individuals, and improved operational sustainability. A simple thank-you note can capture the appreciation for your role in timely and effective healthcare delivery.
Your Opportunity Awaits
If you are driven by purpose, the desire for personal development, and making a meaningful impact in your community-this position is designed for you. Whether you're fresh out of certification or a seasoned pro, here you'll find an environment that supports, challenges, and offers growth.
Are You Ready to Elevate Your Career?
Join us in a setting where your detailed skills blend seamlessly with a warm-hearted community investment in healthcare-a space where your lab reports echo real life-altering stories. If you're ready to embrace a role that prioritizes accuracy, teamwork, and compassionate care, we are excited to meet you.
