Job description

Amazon's Specialized Business Services Security team is seeking an innovative Software Development Engineer
to join our Core Engineering Automation team. In this position, you will focus on developing and maintaining solutions that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of risk and vulnerability management initiatives. You will work with a diverse set of security professionals across Amazon to support our automation capabilities. You will develop solutions to drive prioritization and remediation of vulnerabilities and risk reduction to help deliver secure products for our customers.
Key job responsibilities
* Collaborate with software and security engineers to build automated risk and vulnerability management workflows
* Design scalable architectures for low-latency, big data processing
* Improve the performance, and efficiency of our existing systems
* Raise the bar for testing, repeatability, automation, and operational excellence
* Seek out, develop, and advocate for new technologies

You will own and contribute to the development of solutions/tools that automate risk assessment and vulnerability management programs. You will join an expanding team, leverage your skills, and apply a variety of methodologies to develop and maintain security solutions. You will collaborate with product teams and senior leaders to develop improvements that help us achieve our vision to be Earth's Most Customer-Centric company.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
