Job description

Overview
The Business Development Associate will support the growth of the company's wholesale, international, and licensing businesses by assisting with strategic initiatives, market research, project coordination, and cross-functional execution.
Working closely with senior members of the Business Development team, the Associate will help identify new business opportunities, support international market expansion, coordinate wholesale initiatives, and assist in evaluating and developing licensing partnerships.
Responsibilities
  • Support business development initiatives across wholesale, international sales, and licensing.

  • Conduct market, competitive, and consumer research to identify growth opportunities.

  • Assist in developing presentations, financial analyses, and business cases for new initiatives.

  • Coordinate cross-functional projects with Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, Product Development, Finance, and Legal teams.

  • Track and maintain project timelines, deliverables, and key milestones.

  • Support international distributor and partner relationships by preparing reports,

  • Assist with evaluating new market opportunities and potential strategic partnerships.

  • Help manage licensing opportunities, including partner outreach, research, documentation, and project coordination.

  • Analyze sales performance and business metrics to identify trends and opportunities.

  • Prepare executive summaries and presentations for leadership meetings.

  • Maintain business development databases, opportunity pipelines, and project documentation.

  • Perform additional analyses and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, International Business, or a related field.

  • 0-3 years of professional experience, including internships, preferably in business development, sales, consulting, merchandising, or related functions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and strong attention to detail.

  • Interest in wholesale, international business, licensing, and strategic growth initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with retail, consumer products, fashion, or branded goods.

  • Familiarity with financial analysis and reporting.

  • Exposure to international business or licensing is a plus.
