Internship Schedule Options: 8:30 AM-3:30 PM on Mon/Wed/Fri, Tues/Thurs, or Mon-Fri
Internship Duration: December 2025 or January 2026 through May 2026
Paid Training Location: Feasterville-Trevose, PA
Paid Training Schedule: In-person, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-3:30 PM for 3 weeks
Upcoming Classes: December 15 - January 12 or January 5 - 23
At Potential Inc.'s Springtime School, we are dedicated to helping children and adolescents with Autism develop meaningful academic, social, and life skills. Our School Paraprofessional Interns play a key role in supporting students ages 6-21 in a K-12+ classroom setting while gaining hands-on experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques and school-based interventions.
This is an entry-level internship with paid training, consistent pay, and the opportunity to learn alongside experienced Special Education Teachers and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Interns must commit to at least 6 months and can start at any time of year.
What You'll Do
• Work directly with students in classrooms, implementing individualized instruction and support under the guidance of Special Education Teachers and BCBAs
• Apply ABA principles to help students achieve goals outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Support academic, behavioral, and leisure activities to enhance students' quality of life
• Arrive before the school day to prepare materials and review IEP updates for a smooth classroom start
• Foster flexibility and independence in students by encouraging engagement beyond rigid routines while maintaining structured learning environments
• Participate in collaborative training, constructive feedback sessions, and professional growth opportunities
Who You Are
• Passionate about working with children and adolescents with Autism in a school setting
• Comfortable being active, playful, and hands-on throughout the day
• Receptive to coaching and eager to learn from experienced teachers and BCBAs
• Motivated to gain foundational skills in ABA, special education, psychology, or related helping professions
• Able to commit to a 6-month internship while maintaining consistent attendance
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Reliable transportation to Springtime School in Newtown, Bucks County
• Availability for one of the following schedules:
- Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 8:30 AM-3:00 PM
- Tuesday/Thursday, 8:30 AM-3:00 PM
- Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-3:00 PM
• Ability to participate in a 3-week in-person training program, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-3:30 PM, at our corporate location in Feasterville-Trevose
• Physically able to implement safe crisis management procedures when necessary, including:
- Standing, kneeling, and moving to/from the floor
- Supporting 15-50 lbs of student body weight
- Bending, quick movement, sitting, and standing for periods of time
• No physical or medical conditions preventing participation in required safety procedures
