Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for a Lead FPGA Engineer to join our Central Engineering team in Milpitas!

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development, test and integration of complex Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) code for high-performance imaging systems independently

  • Actively participate in the subsystem integration process collaborating with SW and System teams.

  • Write technical documentation that meets the defined quality standards for manufacturing, service as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with FPGA RTL code and related high speed digital circuitry design and functions (10G Serdes, PCIe, DDR)

  • Understanding of timing analysis, CDC analysis and constraints at the PCB/FPGA interface.

  • Experience with Xilinx/Altera FPGA RTL design using SystemVerilog/Verilog/VHDL, FPGA functional and constrained random simulation, and implementation.

  • Firmware integration, debug, and system test experience with prototype PCB assemblies.

  • Current FPGA architecture, documentation and communication experience. Solid knowledge of electrical engineering principles, analog and digital mixed signal electronics design both at the theoretical and implementation level.

  • Experience on PCB board design and test a plus.

  • Familiar with design tools such as Xilinx Vivado/ISE, Synplify synthesis, Questa/ModelSim, Python, MatLab, OrCAD.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize
