Job Description:
The International Student Worker - Social Media Ambassador supports Baylor University's International Undergraduate Admissions team by helping engage prospective international students and families through digital communication channels. This role serves as a friendly and knowledgeable student representative, assisting with outreach efforts and helping prospective students learn more about Baylor and the international student experience.
Responsibilities include posting and sharing approved content on platforms such as WhatsApp and WeChat, monitoring messages, responding to routine inquiries, directing students to appropriate admissions resources, and assisting with prospective student engagement initiatives. The student worker may also provide occasional feedback on topics and questions that are important to international students and help support recruitment events and communications as needed.
The ideal candidate is a current Baylor University student with strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and an interest in supporting international student recruitment. Candidates should be comfortable using social media and messaging platforms and interacting with diverse audiences in a professional manner. Mandarin language proficiency is strongly preferred to support engagement with prospective students and families from China. This position provides valuable experience in international admissions, cross-cultural communication, and student engagement.
