Job description

Director of International Admission. Rockhurst University. Kansas City, Missouri.
Develop, lead, and support the First-Year, Transfer, and Graduate International recruitment,
enrollment, and retention strategy. Evaluate International undergraduate and graduate
applications for admission and communicate admission decisions to students. Manage
international application volume and strategically work with students to convert inquiries to
applicants, increase yield, and meet annual enrollment goals. Prepare and conduct information
sessions for students, parents, and educators about University's educational programs,
immigration, financial aid, and student success. Analyze enrollment reports from all sources and
make recommendations to leadership. Work with Deans to finalize admission standards
and recruiting goals. Assist in the preparation of weekly comparison reports of international
student applicants, admits, and enrollments. Research current and emerging trends in
international student admission and recruitment. Strategically identify high schools with large
international student populations and other areas to host student recruiting events. Coordinate
and plan presentations and college fairs by working with school counselors, community-based
organizations, and other groups. Develop new initiatives and events specific to the needs of
various key areas. Requires a Master's degree in International Business, International Studies, or
a closely related field. Demonstrated experience working in higher education admissions
focused on international students from Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), Middle Eastern and North
African (MENA), or Asian/Pacific Islander (API) countries. Demonstrated knowledge of Slate.
