Senior Business Analyst,Sales Operations-International Acceptance

Summary:

As a Senior Business Analyst in Sales Operations for International Acceptance (IA) at Discover Global Payment Network (GPN), you will apply your strategic, analytical, and execution skills to solve major international growth challenges. In this individual contributor role, you will team with world-class professionals to analyze performance data, execute data-driven sales processes, and support international sales planning models. You will operate in a collaborative, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment that values your quantitative insights, encourages you to take on new operational responsibilities, and rewards continuous innovation.

General Responsibilities:

  • Analysis & Data Insights: Identify international business challenges or opportunities for improvement, using rigorous analysis of sales activity and outcome data to make strategic or tactical recommendations to leadership.

  • Sales Planning Support: Assist in running the semi-annual sales planning model to forecast progress towards our sales goals, target and manage incentive spend. Help ensure relationship manager (RM) mapping to partners is accurately maintained so global resources are aligned to high-value opportunities.

  • Execution & Reporting: Involve problem frameworks, develop hypotheses, conduct analysis, and support the rollout of standardized, automated individual sales scorecards and Monthly Business Review (MBR) reporting.

  • CRM Data Governance: Actively support Salesforce data quality and maintain standardized definitions for international sales funnel stages and merchant taxonomies. Partner with Global Network Analytics (GNA) to streamline and revamp spend coverage metric data flows.

  • Process Redesign & Sales Excellence: Support implementation efforts to establish "Sales Excellence" standard work, including optimizing daily operating rhythms, promoting positive CRM hygiene, and maintaining standardized sales behaviors.

  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with cross-functional colleagues across Market Leads, Strategy, Chief of Staff (CoS), Marketing, and central Sales Enablement teams to drive continuous improvements in reporting quality, volume, and process efficiency.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of professional experience performing analysis

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:

    • A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer engineering, Software engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)

    • A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering

  • 1+ years of experience in Statistical model building

  • 1+ years of experience in market research

  • 1+ years of experience in SQL querying

  • 2+ years of experience in business analysis

  • 1+ years of experience in consulting

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Chicago, IL: $101,100 - $115,400 for Sr. Business Analyst


McLean, VA: $111,200 - $126,900 for Sr. Business Analyst


New York, NY: $121,300 - $138,400 for Sr. Business Analyst


Richmond, VA: $101,100 - $115,400 for Sr. Business Analyst








Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
