Job description

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking an IMMIGRATION ADVISOR H-1B.  This position will foster a welcoming and supportive environment for international employees by providing information and support on H-1B immigration status issues. To work with department administrators and beneficiaries to collect documents and assemble petitions for H-1B work authorization from US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). To liaise with department administrators and other UAB administrative partners to obtain checks and signatures. To draft travel and visa appointment support letters for H-1B beneficiaries. To advise international employees on matters of immigration compliance and university policy.
 
(Hourly Rate:  $20.80  -  $21.63)
Bachelor's degree in International Studies, Pre-Law, Business or a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
