Job description

The Data Analyst 3 is a health professional having advanced knowledge of the data management activities of the Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program. The Data Analyst 3 coordinates and follows through on the entirety of the activities that encompass the reporting of patient and program data to the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR). This requires mostly independent work with general direction from leadership. The Data Analyst 3 also assists the Quality Nurse Manager and leadership with data collection and submissions as they apply to the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP), the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT), and other regulatory and research agencies as needed. #CA-SB

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience or training
  • 1-3 years of experience reporting data to the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR).
  • Ability to work with electronic medical records (ideally Epic), chart reviews, and data extraction.
  • Knowledge of hematologic malignancies and non-malignancies.
  • Administrative skills and ability to exercise good judgment.
  • I nitiative and resourcefulness in making decisions.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate information, practices and procedures, formulate logical and objective conclusions and make recommendations for effective solutions.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to effectively correspond with the co-workers, physicians, patients, caregivers, clinic staff, and other healthcare professionals
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail so that large volumes of records can be accurately maintained and workload priorities can be determined in an appropriate way to accomplish a task or goal.
  • Writing skills including the ability to compose reports and correspondence while utilizing correct grammar, spelling and punctuation as well as clearly documenting research data onto forms.
  • Ability to meet the scope of the program with general supervision and with frequent changes in priorities and deadlines.
  • Organizational skills in setting priorities, following through on assigned tasks and adhering to deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work cooperatively as a team member in a diverse workforce.
  • Working knowledge of various software systems.
