Job description

General Purpose of the Position

Our IT Specialist will primarily be responsible for supporting/aiding computer system users and helping to onboard new users. This may be with hardware, such as desktop computers, printers, scanners, or handheld devices or it may be with software programs and include account maintenance, creation, and administration. They will also help manage the infrastructure and manage small IT projects, such as deploying new services globally across the company.

  • Issue user accounts and company-provisioned equipment to new hires.
  • Manage small IT service and infrastructure IT projects.
  • Track all instances of support by creating IT tickets using ticket-tracking software.
  • Update the status of each ticket as they successfully assist each user with their issues and will report support data weekly to the IT Manager.
  • Provide in-person assistance for internal users and virtual/remote assistance tools for external/global users.
  • Oversee data, including client and internal information, maintaining, backing up, and securing databases, as well as restoring files as needed.
  • At all times, provide the highest levels of customer service.
Qualified Applicants Will Have
  • Foundational knowledge of common information technology systems including Azure Cloud Service, Azure AD, and MS Intune.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high customer service standards.
  • The ability to communicate complex concepts to a general audience.
  • Experience troubleshooting common and often complex IT problems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft/Office 365, Windows OS (11)
Additional Preferred Experience
  • Experience with Powershell scripting
  • Experience with technical writing for documentation or instruction
  • Hardware and software certification such as A+ or related experience
  • Program certifications such as Cisco and Microsoft Windows or related experience
  • Knowledge and experience with virtualized servers a plus
  • Experience with the Microsoft/Office 365 administration portal
