We Are Looking to Add a Key Member to Our Payroll Team!

Payroll Practitioner II performs tasks to establish and maintain accurate employee payroll records. In this role, you will complete tasks related to all forms of compensation, benefits, and taxation. Payroll Pracitioner II is knowledgeable with respect to both state and federal regulations that directly apply to GreatAmerica’s business to assist in compliance with payroll-related federal, state, and local regulations. This individual will perform periodic internal audits of various payroll areas as well as prepare material for external or internal audits. Additionally, this individual takes ownership of software application accuracy and efficiencies.

As a Payroll Practitioner II, you will:

  • Performs assigned payroll processes accurately, timely and in compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Ensures accurate and timely statutory filing according to laws and regulations
  • Remains current on changes in statutory requirements and assists in keeping Payroll compliant with changes
  • Participates in Payroll Team’s continuous effort in process streamlining to improve payroll efficiency
  • Resolves payroll inquiries from employees
  • Assists in managing reporting tasks for internal and external government systems
  • Identifies opportunities to make process improvement recommendations and implement changes.
  • Assists in processing monthly, quarterly, and annual incentive payouts
  • Assists in year-end processing and auditing for accurate W-2’s
  • Provides payroll related data to Finance and Accounting
  • Ensures periodic, quarterly, and annual payroll reporting data reconciliations are performed accurately and timely
  • Maintains and creates complex reports from Workday, ADP, and other systems, as appliable
  • Reviews and maintains payroll system configurations to ensure accurate pay
  • Special projects and/or implementations as assigned
  • Proactive, engaged, and proficient in all aspects of payroll processes
  • Provides an outstanding GreatAmerica experience to all customers

  • Role requires ability to multi-task, adapt to changes and work well under pressure in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to facilitate compliance with federal, state and local statutes
  • Must demonstrate sound business judgment
