Job Description

Teradata Customer Management Applications is seeking a talented User-Interface Developer capable of designing and implementing the next generation UI to empower Teradata's "Best of Breed" Enterprise Marketing applications. The UI Engineer will design and implement frameworks and components to create beautiful user interfaces for the Teradata applications.

We are looking for candidates that are passionate about their work and embrace the ideals of software craftsmanship and Agile development practices.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and design the UI framework used across Teradata Applications for front-end development.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional agile teams that include UX, Front-end Developers, Product Owners and Service Developers to implement the "Best of Breed" Enterprise Marketing Applications.
  • Work closely with UX Designers and Product Owners to develop beautiful, usable UIs and creative visualizations.
  • Stay abreast of UI technology trends and industry best practices to hone and maintain talent. 
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Know how to implement beautiful, usable, and high-performance UIs.
  • Mastery of CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript with solid design and coding skills.
  • Strong understanding of both progressive enhancement and single page applications built using client side MV* frameworks such as AngularJS, Backbone, Knockout or Ember.
  • Prior experience with Responsive CSS Frameworks such as Bootstrap, Foundation, or Skeleton.
  • Experience integrating UI clients with JSON-based REST services built using server-side technologies such as Java, PHP, ASP.Net and Node.js.
  • Experience with API driven UIs;
  • Experience with client-side and e2e testing technologies such as Karma, Protractor, Jasmine, and Selenium.
  • Strong command of UI performance optimization techniques, web standards and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Understanding of WIA-ARIA standards for usability and accessibility.
  • Experience using a continuous integration stacks and client-side build/dependency management tools such as grunt, bower, npm, JIRA, SVN/GIT, Bamboo, Crucible/Stash, etc.
  • The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in web-based UI applications with a passion for the latest technologies.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years developing UIs for web applications in a highly transparent Agile organization, with iterations, continuous integration and a drive for quality.
  • 2+ years of experience with AngularJS, Backbone or Ember.
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work well with others in a fast-paced agile environment with an emphasis on collaborating and assisting the team to meet business objectives.Â
