Job description


The Talent Acquisition (TA) Programs team creates innovative pathways for talent to join Navy Federal and grow their careers through Internal Mobility, Early Careers, Military Talent Acquisition Programs, and enterprise wide talent initiatives.
As a year round intern, you will gain hands on experience supporting multiple talent programs while building real world business, analytical, and professional skills. You will contribute to high visibility initiatives that directly impact how we attract, engage, and develop talent across the enterprise.
You'll work closely with program leads to support outreach, events, communications, and data-driven projects by helping deliver meaningful experiences for applicants, employees, and members.
This role primarily supports Military Talent Acquisition Programs and Early Careers, with additional exposure to Internal Mobility Programs, offering a well rounded introduction to talent programs in a large enterprise environment. The position will report to the Supervisor of Military Talent Acquisition Programs.
This is an exciting opportunity to drive measurable impact by supporting enterprise TA Programs initiatives through outreach, data, communications, and event coordination aligned to TA strategic priorities.
You will leave this experience with a strong foundation in talent acquisition, program management, and enterprise HR strategy.

Responsibilities
Recruiting & Outreach Support:
• Assist with job postings in Oracle HCM, Handshake, and DoW database
• Support outreach partner coordination and communications
• Help schedule interviews and communicate with candidates
• Maintain outreach, recruiting, and hiring trackers
Event & Engagement Coordination:
• Support internal and external recruiting and outreach events, including events on military installations
• Assist with event preparation, registration, and live event execution
• Assist in developing presentations, outreach materials, and collateral
• Coordinate engagement activities and team communications
Talent Program Operations:
• Provide case management support for program related inquiries
• Conduct research to support new and existing talent initiatives
• Maintain program documentation, trackers, and reporting resources
• Support cross functional projects and team initiatives across TA
• Support military hiring-related inquiries received through shared inbox channels
General Intern Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners
• Analyze and maintain data; support reporting and insights
• Support unit initiatives across TA Programs
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research
• Assist team members across levels
• Maintain professionalism and member service standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Pursuing a degree from an accredited college/university
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Detail-oriented with strong accuracy
• Effective communication skills
• Strong analytical and research abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Desired Qualifications:
• Anticipated graduation of Summer 2028 or later
• Pursuing an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in business administration, Human Resource Management, Finance, Psychology, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Sociology, Marketing, Communications, or related field
• Interest in Talent Acquisition, Human Resource Programs, and/or military-affiliated workforce initiatives
• Strong communication skills and commitment to self-development
• Experience working in a customer or member-facing environment
• Experience creating on-brand, compelling presentations (PowerPoint, Adobe Express, etc.)
• Exposure to copywriting and content creation, with the ability to develop clear, engaging, and audience-focused messaging aligned to employer branding and talent acquisition goals
Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM (minimum of 20-25 hours a week, based on school schedule)
