Role: Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Location: New York City, NY, Jersey City, NJ

Duration: 6+ Months

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join a high-performing team supporting enterprise customer engagement and business operations platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in both automation and manual testing, along with experience in CI/CD environments and Agile development methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
  • Build and maintain automated test frameworks using Selenium and Playwright.
  • Perform functional, regression, UI, API, and manual testing.
  • Develop and support Continuous Integration (CI/CD) testing processes.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and QA teams.
  • Review and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Identify, track, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects.
  • Perform database validation using SQL queries.
  • Contribute to quality assurance best practices and process improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience as an SDET/QA Automation Engineer.

Strong experience with:

  • Selenium
  • Playwright
  • API Testing (Postman, SoapUI)
  • SQL Database Validation
  • Manual Testing
  • Web Application Testing
  • CI/CD Processes

Experience with:

  • Azure DevOps (ADO)
  • JIRA
  • RCLM
  • Defect Tracking & Test Management Tools
  • Experience working in Agile and Waterfall environments.

  • Performance Testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar tools.
