This Opportunity:

HVAC Systems

  • Assist in the design of heating, cooling, ventilation, and exhaust systems for commercial buildings

  • Perform heating and cooling load calculations

  • Select equipment (AHUs, RTUs, boilers, chillers, pumps, VAVs, etc.)

  • Develop ductwork and piping layouts

  • Support energy efficiency and code compliance efforts

Plumbing Systems

  • Assist in the design of domestic water, sanitary, storm, and specialty piping systems

  • Size piping, pumps, water heaters, and fixtures

  • Prepare plumbing plans, riser diagrams, and schedules

  • Coordinate plumbing layouts with other trades

General Engineering

  • Prepare construction documents using AutoCAD and/or Revit

  • Review submittals and respond to RFIs

  • Participate in field visits and construction coordination

  • Work under senior engineers to develop technical skills


Essential Qualifications:

  • Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

  • Basic understanding of building systems and mechanical principles

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with load calculation software (e.g., HAP, Trace, EnergyPlus)

  • Exposure to plumbing design standards and codes

  • EIT certification or progress toward PE licensure

  • Experience in consulting engineering or construction environments
