Operations Trainer, Distribution Center
Location: Olive Branch, MS, USA - 8745 Forest Hill Irene Road, Suite 105
Shift - Monday- Friday 1pm to 9:30pm
Note - Shift subject to change based on the needs of the business. OT may be required and is mandatory if required. This position start time may fluctuate and flexibility is required.
This position comes with competitive base pay and a shift differential of $1.50/hr. It is also benefit eligible.
We're looking for a motivated and flexible individual to step into the role of Operations Trainer! In this position, you'll leverage your experience to provide essential training for your colleagues, work varied shifts as needed, and gain exposure working across different departments when training tasks are not assigned. Key Responsibilities:
Training Program Development:
o Design and develop comprehensive training programs that address specific business needs.
o Create engaging training materials, including presentations.
o Ensure training content is up-to-date and reflects current industry trends and practices.
Conduct Training Sessions:
o Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions for employees at various levels.
o Utilize interactive and innovative teaching methods to engage participants.
o Assess the effectiveness of training sessions and make necessary adjustments.
Needs Assessment:
o Collaborate with department heads to identify skill gaps and training needs.
Evaluation and Feedback:
o Collect feedback from participants and use it to improve future training sessions.
o Report on training outcomes and provide recommendations for improvement.
Administrative Duties:
o Maintain records of training activities, attendance, and outcomes.
o Coordinate logistics for training sessions, including scheduling and resource allocation.
Minimum Requirement:
  • Typically requires 5+ years of related experience.

Additional skills and qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience in a warehouse environment with exposure to different areas of a warehouse/DC. Internals must have at least 1 year to qualify.
  • Must have new hire orientation and hands on floor training experience
  • Power equipment experience strongly preferred (including Reach truck, Pallet Jack and Forklift). This position will eventually train others on equipment, so, must be able to become trained and maintain certifications
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills: Must be able to partner with diverse groups or individuals to train, mentor, and explain processes/SOPs to various levels of employees
  • MS Office at an intermediate level (data entry, Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Teams)
  • Exposure to Accumax preferred (training will be provided)
  • Must be a positive change team member that demonstrates passion and commitment to the success of the team and individuals
  • Good critical thinking skills with the ability to see the "big picture" and be proactive
  • Excellent organization and prioritization with competing priorities
  • Critical thinking skills - root cause analysis & understanding of how functions are related
  • Basic Math - add/subtract/multiply/divide

Physical Demands (may include all or some of the following, some only on occasion):
  • General office demands
  • Must be comfortable working at heights
  • Must be comfortable working in refrigerated areas when required
  • Ability to walk up to 10 miles throughout the course of a shift (steps vary per shift)
  • Ability to lift 20-50 pounds repetitively throughout the course of a shift without assistance; ability to lift greater weights in a team lift (weight varies based on product)
  • May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day.
  • May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day.
  • May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.
  • Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.
  • May need to work in cold or refrigerated areas
  • Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to hear normal voice sounds
