McKesson's Intern Program offers an opportunity for high potential candidates to gain real world exposure to the industry of healthcare distribution and services. Interns will apply their education in real world scenarios with McKesson's Health Systems Marketing Team to connect their strengths and interests with the needs of the business in addition to developing a foundational understanding of an ever-changing industry.

The Marketing Intern will operate in conjunction with McKesson's Health Systems Marketing Team and collaborate with stakeholders across Sales, Operations, Product, Customer Experience, and Business Development functions. As a valued team member, the Marketing Intern will support initiatives that strengthen customer engagement, enhance market awareness, and contribute to strategic marketing programs. The experience will provide exposure to marketing strategy, campaign execution, market research, customer insights, digital tools, and performance analytics within the evolving healthcare landscape.

Intern Program Details:

Paid Internship

Full time / 10 weeks

Position will be based out of our Irving, TX location

No company-sponsored housing, relocation, student visa or Green Card assistance available

The internship program provides networking, access to executives, structured performance & coaching

Experiential learning and training provided by exposure to subject matter experts

Minimum Requirements:

Enrolled as a full-time student at the time of the internship, at the Undergraduate or Graduate level

Must have completed a minimum of 75 credit hours by the start of the internship

At least 18 Years of age

Authorized to work in the United States

Ability to work 40 hours per week, available during core hours for critical meetings and training

Willingness to learn, develop, and contribute to a fun, demanding, fast-paced environment

Self-starter that brings both interpersonal skills and a superior ability to identify a problem then solve

Exhibit excellent communication skills, verbal, non-verbal, interpersonal, and written

Responsibilities:

Support the planning, execution, and measurement of marketing initiatives and campaigns

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop customer-facing and internal marketing materials

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and emerging healthcare industry developments

Assist with customer segmentation, targeting strategies, and audience analysis

Analyze marketing performance metrics and develop insights to support decision-making

Support content development, presentation creation, and communication strategies for various business initiatives

Assist in the creation of executive reporting, dashboards, and data visualizations

Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to support customer engagement and growth initiatives

Partner with Sales, Product, and Marketing stakeholders to better understand customer needs and business priorities

Learn and demonstrate McKesson's core competencies, including adaptability, customer focus, initiative, collaboration, and execution excellence

Communicate project updates, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders

Participate in weekly intern meetings, professional development sessions, workshops, training programs, and a final project presentation

Support additional ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives as needed
