Job Summary
This is an internship position at CITGO Petroleum Corporation Headquarters, Houston, TX.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Intern to join our Enterprise Architecture team. In this role, you will collaborate with experienced enterprise architects and gain hands-on experience with business transformation tools, helping design, develop, and support innovative technology solutions. You will also assist in maintaining the health and performance of our existing IT architecture, contributing to the ongoing growth and efficiency of the business.
Job Duties
  1. Assist enterprise architects in the design, development, and implementation of new technology tools and business transformation solutions.
  2. Document architecture diagrams, technical workflows, business processes, and system integrations.
  3. Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, support change management activities, and provide technical assistance.
  4. Support the deployment and adoption of business transformation tools (such as process transformations, automation, data analytics).
  5. Participate in testing and validation of new tools, systems, and enhancements to support business transformation.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or related field with a sophomore or higher classification.
  • Interest or background in business transformation initiatives (e.g., process transformation, automation, analytics, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of enterprise IT concepts (networks, cloud, servers, databases, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Eager to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and business processes.
