McKesson Medical-Surgical is seeking a motivated and results-driven Operations Supervisor to lead daily distribution center operations and ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of products through our supply chain. This role is responsible for supervising warehouse team members, driving productivity, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Operations Supervisor plays a key role in building a high-performing team while supporting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of warehouse associates in a fast-paced distribution environment.
  • Supervise daily operations across receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping functions.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, service, and safety metrics to ensure operational goals are achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and warehouse safety procedures.
  • Conduct employee performance discussions, coaching sessions, and development planning.
  • Analyze operational data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and implement improvements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Logistics, Transportation, Quality, Inventory Control, and Customer Service to support operational goals.
  • Manage workforce scheduling, staffing utilization, and labor planning to meet customer demand.
  • Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions and improve efficiency.
  • Support Lean, Continuous Improvement, and process optimization initiatives within the distribution center.
Basic Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution center, logistics, supply chain, or related operations environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including leading teams, coaching employees, or serving in a team lead, supervisor, or similar role.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory management software.
  • Ability to analyze operational metrics and make data-driven decisions.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse safety practices and OSHA regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a high-volume distribution center.
  • Experience managing inbound, outbound, and inventory operations.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with labor planning, workforce scheduling, and productivity management.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Healthcare distribution, pharmaceutical distribution, or medical supply experience.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Primarily onsite in a distribution center environment.
  • Frequently required to walk throughout the facility and spend time on the warehouse floor.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift.
  • May occasionally lift or move materials up to established safety guidelines.
  • Must be able to work in varying warehouse conditions, including temperature-controlled and non-temperature-controlled areas.
