Internship from June 1, 2027-May 31, 2028

Massachusetts Equine Clinic is a four-doctor, full-service equine ambulatory practice. We proudly serve a wide variety of equine disciplines across the picturesque landscapes of New England, from sport horses to cherished companions. Conveniently located just 20 minutes from Tufts Veterinary School and within easy reach of both Boston and Providence, our location offers the perfect balance of scenic countryside and access to vibrant city life. Our team is known for delivering compassionate, professional care while fostering a supportive environment that mentors and inspires the next generation of equine veterinarians.


Our internship program provides a comprehensive experience in equine veterinary medicine, designed to build both clinical expertise and confidence.


Through this program, you will gain hands-on experience in:

  • Wellness and preventative care
  • Sports medicine and lameness
  • Emergency medicine and wound management
  • Field surgery and anesthesia
  • Infectious disease management
  • Client communication and practice management

You'll have access to advanced diagnostic tools, including digital radiography, ultrasounds, and gastroscopes. You will become familiar with therapies such as Pro-Stride, IRAP, and Alpha 2EQ, while building essential skills including power-floating, suturing lacerations, colic workups, and diagnosing and treating lameness and complex medical cases. Our goal is to provide a well-rounded, supportive learning environment, with over sixty years of combined experience from our doctors ready to mentor you.

  • The expected salary for this position is $45,000 per year. The final compensation offered may vary based on factors including experience, education, certifications, skills, geographic location, and internal equity considerations.
 
  • Benefits for this role may include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), retirement benefits, paid time off (including sick leave and vacation), short-term and long-term disability, and life insurance.
