This role provides practical training in a clinical setting to help interns develop their skills before becoming certified professionals.

What does a radiography intern do?

As a Radiography Intern, your day often involves assisting licensed radiologic technologists with preparing patients for imaging procedures, operating imaging equipment under supervision, and learning to evaluate image quality. You may also help maintain patient records and adhere to strict safety guidelines to minimize radiation exposure. Interns typically rotate through different imaging departments, providing valuable exposure to various aspects of medical imaging such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs. You’ll interact closely with healthcare staff and patients, which helps build your technical and interpersonal skills for future roles in radiography.
