We're Looking For A: YouTube Video Editor Intern

Location: Remote

What You'll Be Doing: Support the continued growth of a Health & Wellness YouTube channel by creating engaging, trend-aware short-form content designed to capture attention and drive viewer engagement. This role will assist the Senior Video Editor & Producer in maintaining a daily Shorts publishing cadence while supporting the channel's existing long-form upload schedule.

  • Learn internal systems and organize project files according to company specifications.
  • Edit & export engaging short-form videos from project files, footage, and exports.
  • Create eye-catching thumbnails for both 9x16 and 16x9 content using Adobe Photoshop.
  • Stay current on social media trends, editing styles, meme culture, pacing, hooks, captions, and retention strategies.
  • Utilize AI-assisted creative tools to improve creative workflows. (ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly, ElevenLabs, etc.)
  • Manage priorities and workload effectively to meet all schedules and deadlines.
  • Bring creative ideas and trend-aware suggestions to the table to help evolve the channel's short-form content strategy.

Qualifications (Note: We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don't tick ALL of these boxes.):

  • 1 year of experience editing YouTube content (Adobe Premiere)
  • Good understanding of video trends on social platforms
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop; After Effects a plus
  • Basic Google Docs experience
  • 3 years of experience editing YouTube content (preferred)
  • YouTube data analysis (preferred)
  • Color grading and audio mixing (preferred)
  • Experience editing UGC/homemade video content (preferred)

The hourly pay range is $17-$20.
