Job description

This position reports to:

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your skills by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.
The work model for the role is hybrid in Alpharetta, Georgia.
Please note that no relocation assistance or stipend will be offered for this position. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the office location. Candidates are expected to manage their own commuting arrangements.
You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Process and reconcile employee travel and expense (T&E) reimbursements, ensuring accuracy, policy compliance, and timely payment.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to expense reports, credit card transactions, and reimbursements.
  • Review, validate, and submit vendor invoices while monitoring approval and payment status.
  • Identify and resolve invoice processing issues to ensure accurate and timely vendor payments.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Document end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Analyze workflows to identify process gaps, risks, and control improvements.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to strengthen operational effectiveness and user experience.

Qualifications for the role:
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Accounting, Finance Business, or related degree, in the United States.
  • Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
  • Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Exhibit the capability to manage several tasks at once while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.
