Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
We are looking for both Class A CDL Drivers with local Intermodal Experience. You must have at least 6 months of Intermodal driving experience or 1 year of other CDL driving experience otherwise you may inquire about our training program.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Operate company-owned and leased trucks between all Rails and Depots in the Chicagoland and surrounding areas
Out of town moves (all within 250 miles of the Locke Transportation yard) - HOME EVERY DAY
Perform required before-, during- and after-operation “user maintenance” and provide required reports.
Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations
Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs.
Maintain and protect all property in excellent condition.
Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.

Portions of this position are performed in outside weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, +/- 12 hours daily. Rotating Saturdays (once monthly)
Required Experience
Valid Class A CDL Driver's License
Preferred Experience
One year proven professional driving experience
International intermodal experience a plus
Refrigerated container experience a plus
