They are responsible for loading and unloading containers, inspecting equipment, and ensuring that shipments are handled safely and efficiently. These employees often work in rail yards, ports, or logistics terminals, and their duties are critical to keeping supply chains running smoothly. Intermodal Service Employees may also be involved in administrative tasks, such as tracking shipments and coordinating with other departments.
