Position: Operations Coordinator
Pay Rate: $47k annually
Schedule: Sun/Mon/Tues Every Other Wednesday 6am - 6pm
The Operations Coordinator provides critical support to Forward's Truckload Brokerage operations by assisting with load management, data entry, carrier communication, and customer interaction. This foundational role is designed to build core competencies in logistics and transportation operations, supporting team members while developing skills necessary for future advancement within the organization.
Core Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Assist in managing load boards and scheduling pick-up and delivery appointments
  • Communicate with carriers to confirm load details, pick-up times, and delivery schedules
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the McLeod Transportation Management System (TMS)
  • Monitor daily load execution from pick-up through delivery under the guidance of senior team members
  • Support the resolution of basic carrier or load-related issues by escalating to Operations Specialists
  • Develop relationships with customer facilities to assist with loading and unloading coordination
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and report operational gaps and discrepancies
  • Provide administrative and operational assistance to Operations Management and Account Management teams
  • Learn and apply standard operating procedures and best practices in logistics and transportation
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred
  • Interest in pursuing a career in logistics, transportation, or operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities
  • Ability to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
