What are Intermediate Architects?

Intermediate Architects are professionals in the architecture field who have progressed beyond the entry level but are not yet considered senior architects. They typically have several years of experience and are responsible for designing, planning, and coordinating architectural projects under the supervision of senior staff. Their duties often include preparing drawings, managing project documentation, collaborating with clients and consultants, and ensuring designs comply with codes and regulations. Intermediate Architects play a vital role in translating concepts into detailed plans and often mentor junior team members.

How does an Intermediate Architect typically contribute to project development and team collaboration?

Intermediate Architects are often responsible for bridging the gap between junior designers and senior leadership. They contribute to project development by producing detailed drawings, coordinating with consultants, and ensuring that design intent is carried through construction documents. Collaboration is a key aspect of the role, involving regular meetings with project managers, engineers, and clients to address design challenges and resolve technical issues. This level is ideal for professionals looking to deepen their technical expertise while beginning to take on leadership and mentoring responsibilities within the team.
