Local + Sustainable interior/exterior plant company is looking for a HORTICULTURE INSTALLATION-EXTERIOR ASSISTANT to join our team...

As a HORTICULTURE INSTALLATION-EXTERIOR ASSISTANT you will facilitate exterior/interior services in commercial and residential accounts. Your duties for this role will include:

  • Regular weekly assigned exterior route that is trained and supported by a team. A great training opportunity for anyone who loves being outside working with plants.
  • Utilizing a variety of plant care tools (sprayers, pruners, duster, buckets, hoses or water machines, etc.) to provide weekly care for each client.

Job Requirements –

As a HORTICULTURE INSTALLATION-EXTERIOR ASSISTANT, you will have excellent physical capabilities, work ethics and a keen eye for detail. You will also be able to work independently and have a desire to service customers by taking the best possible care of the plants + people + places.

Must be able to work full time with a flex schedule for some weeks. No second jobs, self employed or while still attending school.

Qualifications –

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current valid driver’s license and a clean DMV record for at least 5 years
  • Delivery truck driving experience is preferred (but not required)
  • Must be over 21 (fleet vehicle insurance requirement)
  • Ability to lift/carry 75 lbs. with assistance – this is a physical job requiring overall good health
  • Requires good vision, hearing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, walking, using a spray bottle and other hand tools
  • Ability to work a 10-hour day in varying weather conditions
  • Good communication skills and a professional appearance
  • Good time management, organizational skills and integrity working independently
  • Customer service experience
  • Horticulture experience (some experience is preferred)

Position is FULL time/year-round position working Monday – Thursday 8am to 6pm, with some weeks working extended hours/days. We provide good company vehicles, a uniform and all equipment for work days. A background check and pre-employment drug screening will be required prior to the first day of work. We are a drug free workplace.

Compensation depends of work experience and includes paid holidays, paid birthday day off, accrued paid vacation and sick time. Company health insurance is offered after 90 days. Our company culture promotes a friendly encouraging team environment and honoring each other as individuals.
