Every classroom designed becomes a space where students feel seen, supported, and inspired.  We're looking for an Interior Design Supervisor to lead and develop a talented Interior Design team while helping create impactful learning environments for K-12 schools, public libraries, and higher education institutions nationwide.

The Interior Design Supervisor thrives on keeping complex, high-volume workflows organized, contributes meaningfully to the design work itself, and ensures the design team has everything they need to deliver exceptional work for our clients.

As the operational hub of the Interior Design team, you'll guide designers, manage project workflows, balance team capacity, and help ensure exceptional client experiences. You'll also contribute directly to strategic design projects, collaborate closely with Sales and Project Management teams, and present innovative solutions to customers.

The ideal candidate is an experienced design professional who can inspire a team, navigate complex projects, and keep high-volume workflows organized and moving efficiently.

As Interior Design Supervisor, you will:

Lead & Inspire

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of Interior Designers through regular coaching, one-on-one meetings, and performance reviews
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused team culture
  • Manage team workloads and multiple concurrent projects to ensure timely delivery and effective resource management
  • Oversee project intake, workflow prioritization, and team capacity to ensure efficient delivery of services
  • Lead process improvement initiatives that enhance team efficiency and project outcomes
  • Drive design outsourcing initiatives to support high-capacity seasonal demand
  • Facilitate team meetings and support ongoing adoption of design tools, software, and best practices
  • Review team-created design work for quality, consistency, and alignment with client expectations

Drive Excellence

  • Continuously evaluate and improve design workflows, tools, and service delivery models to improve customer experience
  • Maintain high-level Revit skills and a deep understanding of Revit functionality
  • Maintain expertise in furniture solutions, vendor offerings, educational trends and accessibility requirements

Design with Purpose

  • Contribute to the design workload, providing additional design capacity and technical expertise to the team
  • Use Revit and Enscape to create innovative interior design solutions for schools, libraries, and higher education learning environments
  • Collaborate with Sales and Project Management throughout the project lifecycle-from design to installation
  • Present design solutions virtually and in-person to customers and stakeholders

Qualified Candidates Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in interior design
  • 5+ years of professional interior design experience
  • History of strong leadership and coaching capability
  • Advanced Revit skills, including scheduling and family creation
  • Pipeline management experience
  • Data literacy skills: identifies patterns, uses data for decision-making
  • Change management: skilled at introducing new processes
  • Cross-functional communication skills
  • Operational decisiveness: makes assignment and redistribution decisions quickly
  • Passion for creating spaces that serve and strengthen communities
  • Portfolio or work samples demonstrating interior design expertise
