Job description

SUMMARY
Champion Home Builders, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of factory built homes across the United States and Canada. The Design Coordinator supports the development and execution of interior design concepts and selections for Champion Homes, ensuring alignment with brand standards, cost targets, manufacturing requirements, and customer expectations.
This role collaborates closely with Architectural Design, Product Development, Purchasing, Sales, Marketing, and Manufacturing teams to deliver functional, market-appropriate, and visually compelling interior solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ability to travel at least 50% within the United States and Canada, including occasional weekend travel, to support and execute model home installations and assist with product reviews, development, and market research
  • Support the development and execution of interior design concepts, including materials, finishes, cabinetry, flooring, and lighting for off-site residential construction (HUD Code, Modular, Park Models, and ADUs)
  • Assist in the creation and coordination of model home packages, including color palettes, furniture, art, accessories, and linens
  • Coordinate ordering, tracking, and organization of samples, décor boards, and design materials
  • Participate in product reviews, prototype evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support Sales and Marketing teams with model home staging, curated color palettes, and visual assets as needed
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and internal design guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Interior Design function

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's degree in Interior Design or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience, including 3+ years in interior decorating with a focus on model home staging
  • Proficiency in CAD or similar design software and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of space planning, residential construction methods, materials, and finishes
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

Location
  • When not traveling throughout the U.S. and occasionally to Canada, this position is based at a studio in Jamestown, NC.
