Job description

We seek an exceptional Senior Software Engineer with 7 to 10+ years of experience to join our Engineering

team and be a key contributor in all stages of product development and the growth of our business.

Responsibilities

Grow a strong and skillful software development team

Provide technical leadership for current projects

Develop and test software / firmware for various products and systems

Test and deploy software in the loop with various hardware systems

Coordinate with external vendors to implement the next generation technologies

Support of various company engineering and other technical projects which may include travel to

customer locations to support onsite work scope.

Direct supervisor of other development team members

Serve as technical lead and mentor to junior staff

Assist business development and program management with cost and schedule estimates

Suggest, create, and implement department processes and improvements

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related

field. Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum 7+ years’ experience in development environment

Minimum 5+ years’ experience in developing and qualifying systems for Defense / Aerospace /

Industrial applications

5+ years’ experience with various programming languages including C, C++ and Microsoft .NET / C#,

Javascript, and / or Python

3+ years’ leading and mentoring a software engineering team

Development experience for Android and IOS is a plus

Agile / Scrum development methodology experience is a must

Experience with Machine learning, Deep learning, CUDA, UI/UX, TensorFlow, Video processing and /

or Computer vision a nice to have

Prior experience managing resources and executing project plans

Strong interpersonal Skills and Ability to communicate complex, and technical, concepts to both

technical and non-technical teams

Ability to comfortably work with external design teams and communicate with customers

*** Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and hold an active or inactive minimum DoD level “Secret” clearance

-OR- ability to obtain an interim and maintain full “Secret” level clearance. Background check and drug

screening is mandatory prior to start date once an offer is accepted. ***
