Role status: Exempt

Compensation: Our target hiring range is $185,000-225,000 plus participation in our Annual Bonus Program with eligibility for $12,000 bonus. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience and skills.

This role's mission & overview: We are looking for a DevOps engineering manager for our DevOps, IT, and Security team. This team owns engineering experience, platform best practices, security and compliance, and IT for Campminder. AI tools have had a massive impact on company operations, and we need to transform and scale our DevOps, IT, and Security best practices to support the rapid pace of change and innovation of the rest of the company. This manager will lead the effort to quickly evolve our development, deployment, security and IT best practices to match a rapidly evolving AI landscape, and will partner with engineers, engineering leadership, and leaders across the company to ensure a rapid, secure iteration pace for everyone at Campminder

This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role for someone who thrives leading teams that are enabling internal teams to do their best work in an AI landscape.

As an Engineering Manager for the DevOps team, you will:

  • Lead a team of DevOps, Security, and IT engineers
  • Work with your team to enable rapid, secure, frictionless development across the product and technology orgs
  • Roll out systems, tools, and best practices that empower engineers to take ownership over operational best practices for their services
  • Roll out tooling and automation to empower secure AI development across all of Campminder
  • Transform our development, CI/CD, and monitoring best practices to match a rapid pace of AI-enabled innovation
  • Ruthlessly find and eliminate development friction across all of Campminder

We think a successful candidate will bring:

  • Experience leading a DevOps team that successfully enables and empowers engineers through tooling, templates, and systems that allow engineers to execute independently and rapidly
  • A track record of using influence to gain engineering adoption of tooling and best practices that make development faster and more secure, and improve production software operability
  • Experience introducing AI tools and best practices to DevOps teams that result in velocity, quality, and stability improvements
  • Experience maintaining certifications such as SOC2 and PCI through automation that makes compliance and evidence gathering easy and painless
  • Strong Agile and project management skills, with a proven track record of continuously improving systems and processes on your teams in order to make them more efficient
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex technical trade-offs into clear business impact for stakeholders across the organization
  • Excellent coaching and mentorship skills, and ability to grow engineers with a wide range of skillsets
