Job description

We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead core accounting operations and provide dependable financial oversight for the organization in Bedford, Massachusetts. This position is responsible for managing the full monthly close cycle, maintaining accurate financial records, and delivering timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to guide accounting activities through a period of operational transition.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the end-to-end month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across all accounting activities.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions and maintain the integrity of the general ledger and supporting records.
• Prepare and review financial statements and related reports for internal stakeholders and leadership decision-making.
• Ensure accounting practices and financial reporting remain compliant with GAAP and applicable standards.
• Coordinate audit preparation efforts by organizing documentation, responding to inquiries, and supporting external review activities.
• Monitor reconciliations, journal entries, and account analyses to strengthen financial accuracy and control.
• Support the organization through a summer transition by maintaining continuity in accounting ownership and reporting responsibilities.• Demonstrated experience leading month-end close within a controller or senior accounting management capacity.
