Company Description

For 25 years, Level has developed marketing solutions for some of the world's most innovative brands. We believe the best solutions come from collaborative working partnerships with our clients. Whether an established brand, or a start-up, we believe in the power of creative strategy, design, and technology to solve business challenges.

Job Description

As a UI- and visually focused Product Designer at Level Studios, you sit squarely at the intersection of product design, visual design, and systems thinking with an emphasis on precision, consistency, and craft.

In this role, you will be supporting our premier consumer electronics client's web-based marketing and product pages. You'll partner closely with client stakeholders and Level's internal creative, UX, and production teams to design polished, scalable experiences that live within established systems while continuously improving them.

This is a hands-on design role that offers the opportunity for real product ownership while working alongside experienced designers, strategists, and technologists on meaningful, high-impact work. You will work deeply within a world-class product ecosystem while continuing to grow your design craft and product thinking in an agency environment. At Level, we value collaboration, craft, and thoughtful problem-solving and we give our teams the trust and support needed to do their best work.

Who you are:

You are deeply detail-oriented and passionate about precision, craft, and systems thinking

You obsess over visual consistency, implementation accuracy, and scalable design foundations

You are a strong advocate for the customer and approach design through a user-centered lens

You communicate clearly and concisely, especially in documentation and cross-functional collaboration

You are highly collaborative but capable of operating autonomously within ambiguity

You enjoy solving complex design-system and implementation challenges

You see feedback and iteration as essential parts of creating exceptional work

You are comfortable partnering directly with clients and cross-functional stakeholders

What you do:

  • You take ownership of UI and visual design assets for projects and work closely with other team members as well as other disciplines to create extraordinary digital experiences. You work directly with clients and serve as a design thinking resource across products/platforms and content/campaigns. You collaborate with all other disciplines and understand the dependencies that impact design and development throughout the project life cycle. You are skilled in all aspects of UI/interaction design and have a deep understanding of UX strategy.
Responsibilities

Design high-fidelity UI and visual experiences for responsive web-based product and marketing pages

Author detailed, developer-ready design specifications including redlines, annotations, interaction notes, responsive behavior, and handoff documentation

Apply, maintain, and evolve existing design systems, component libraries, and style guides with precision and consistency

Partner closely with engineering teams during implementation - answering questions, reviewing builds, QA-ing experiences, and ensuring design fidelity throughout development

Establish and reinforce system standards including naming conventions, versioning practices, governance workflows, and documentation structures

Create production-ready design artifacts including layouts, component states, interaction behaviors, accessibility guidance, and implementation notes

Audit shipped experiences against specifications and document inconsistencies or implementation gaps

Identify missing or inconsistent patterns across experiences and propose scalable system solutions

Collaborate cross-functionally with UX, copy, engineering, production, and client stakeholders to ensure system components meet both user and business needs

Present work clearly and confidently, articulating design rationale, system logic, and implementation considerations  Support multiple concurrent workstreams while managing priorities, timelines, and evolving feedback efficiently

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in product design, UI design, digital design, or design systems work within an agency, consultancy, in-house, or product-driven environment
  • Strong visual design foundation with proven experience creating polished, system-driven UI
  • Advanced proficiency in Sketch including Symbols/Components, Stacks, variables, shared libraries, and documentation workflows
  • Deep experience working within Sketch-based design system environments and maintaining scalable component libraries
  • Proficiency with supporting creative and presentation tools including Adobe Creative Cloud and Keynote; experience with prototyping and documentation workflows preferred
  • Significant experience working within large-scale design systems and contributing to their evolution
  • Experience producing detailed technical specifications and developer handoff documentation
  • Strong understanding of responsive web design, accessibility standards (WCAG), and Apple Human Interface Guidelines
  • Solid understanding of front-end development constraints and the ability to translate design intent into implementable specifications
  • Experience supporting platform translation work, including adapting native or on-device experiences for responsive web environments while maintaining interaction parity and system consistency
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineers during implementation and QA workflows
  • Experience working within agile or cross-functional delivery environments
  • Comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects with shifting priorities and timelines
  • Assertive communication skills with strong presentation and stakeholder management abilities
  • Highly organized, proactive, and accountable with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience within consumer technology, electronics, hardware, or embedded client environments preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, HCI, Industrial Design, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Portfolio showcasing high-quality UI systems, product experiences, specifications, and visual craft is required
