Job description

Description
The School of Architecture at Carnegie Mellon University invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor to teach the course, History & Future of Interaction Design.
This course gives students a foundation in the history of innovations in interaction design so that they may build upon that history with their own insights and contributions. Students discuss design precedents of interaction design through case studies and research about specific practitioners. They then propose design variations based on each practitioner but cast in contemporary technology, in the form of screen designs, mock-ups, or clickable prototypes (preferred). During the final phase of the semester students elaborate on one or more of their design proposals and create an interactive experience of greater scope that identifies possible futures for interaction design practice.
